Ejaculation means the release of semen from the body or we can say discharge of semen from the testes through the urethra during the final stage of sexual intercourse.
Premature Ejaculation (PE) means ejaculation that happens too early i.e., at the very beginning of the sexual intercourse. In other words, premature ejaculation is the ejaculation that occurs sooner than that a man or his partner would like during the sex.
One out of five (1 out of 5) men suffers from premature ejaculation and 9 out of 10 men ejaculate within 1 minute after the penetration into the vagina.
The other terms which are used for premature ejaculation are Rapid Ejaculation or Premature Climax or Early Ejaculation. PE is frustrating as it makes the sex less enjoyable and impacts relationships.
Erectile Dysfunction (ED) is different from Premature Ejaculation (PE). In ED, the person may not be able to get or keep an erection that's firm enough for sex, whereas in PE, even if the person gets an erection, he ejaculates too quickly during the sexual intercourse.
Sometimes premature ejaculation is a problem for men with erection problems. In such cases, ED may be confused with PE and vice versa, as erection goes away soon after the ejaculation. Erectile Dysfunction must be treated first, Premature Ejaculation might not be a problem if ED is treated.
Exact causes of PE are not known. However, it is directly or indirectly related to psychological and neurological issues.
The good news is that the Premature Ejaculation has a treatment and it can be resolved if everything followed as per the procedures. PE can disrupt the sexual pleasures of both you and your partner and impacts relationship, it should be treated at the earliest for the satisfaction of you and your partner's sexual life.
This is all about the introduction of Premature Ejaculation, I will explain in detail if further questions on this topic will be asked.
